The Wales Triathlon - Course Info
750 metre swim, 13 mile cycle, 3 mile run
The course will be fairly fast. The swim course is a very sheltered out and back swim. The bike course starts with a small incline that is a very fast rolling road into and around St Davids. The course runs alongside the headland, so is simply stunning and as you pass through Fishguard town itself the crowds will be immense.
The swim takes place in Fishguard bay which is protected by a breakwater on both sides. Athletes will swim one lap, exiting the water to large crowds before heading into transition for the cycle.
Beginning with a steady 3 mile ascent, heading to Mathry. From here you'll turn off and head back into Fishguard for T2 and the run leg of the race.
The route above is one lap of the course. Sprint distance athletes will only be required to do one loop of the run route.
